Responsibilities

Job Summary:

Responsible for inspecting, testing, maintaining, and repairing fire sprinkler systems to ensure safety and code compliance, while delivering excellent service to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections and testing on wet, dry, and pre-action systems in compliance with NFPA 25.
  • Identify deficiencies and perform routine maintenance and repairs on sprinkler heads, valves, piping, and control systems.
  • Test fire pumps, flow rates, and pressure levels for system efficiency.
  • Accurately document all inspections, service activities, and parts usage using Service Trade.
  • Respond to emergency service calls and troubleshoot system issues.
  • Collaborate with Deficiency Sellers and Service Coordinators to support estimates, material planning, and job scheduling.
  • Communicate professionally with clients regarding inspections, findings, and recommended improvements.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA 13, NFPA 25, and relevant fire protection codes.
  • NICET certification preferred.
  • Previous experience in fire sprinkler system service (commercial/industrial).
  • Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (kneeling, climbing, crawling).
  • Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in various environmental conditions.
  • Skilled in using hand and power tools.
