Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Technicians must be able to work independently and are responsible for complete installation and full servicing of systems and equipment. This includes reviewing work orders for project specifications, installing, maintaining, repairing (ordering and replacement of faulty parts), testing, diagnosing, and servicing various types of equipment, machinery, or systems.
- Completing and maintaining daily notes of installation, maintenance, repairs, and service history, progress reports showing that project specs are completed, and picture documentation before closing the job.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions, identify root cause, implement effective repairs.
- When on call, respond to emergency situations promptly, providing efficient and reliable solutions.
- Complete reports on time, including service paperwork, inventory log, time card and weekly expense reports.
- Fire Alarm System Installation/Maintenance/Servicing
- Low Voltage Wiring
- EMT/Rigid Pipe-work
- Basic Power Tool Operation
- Electrical Troubleshooting
- Understanding Building codes, specifically NYC, and fire alarm codes
- Must adhere to all safety regulations and company policies
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or Greater Required
- Must be fluent in English. Reading, writing, speaking
- Basic Fire Alarm/Electrical Knowledge
- Ability to read and interpret CAD fire alarm blueprints and schematics would be beneficial
- Working Knowledge of NFPA-72
- NICET Certification (Level - II) is a Plus
- NYC Certificate of Fitness S-98 (Fire Alarm System Inspection, Test and Service Technician) Also a Plus
- Candidate must be a Self-Starter with a Good Work Ethic. Works well independently and as part of a team.
- Candidate must Have a current, clean Driver's License - No moving violations
- Candidate must be Fluent in English
- Able to participate in a two-week rotating "on-call" schedule
- Candidate must be willing and able to report to various job sites in New York City and on occasion, report to our headquarters located in Newark, NJ.
