A trusted provider of fire and security systems in the NYC area for nearly three decades is hiring a Mid-Sr. Security Technician to join their team in Freeport, NY. This role focuses on servicing and installing electronic security systems for commercial clients throughout the five boroughs and surrounding counties.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, program, troubleshoot, and repair IP-based access control, surveillance, and security systems
- Perform system upgrades and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance
- Work with a variety of security technologies, including IP-based CCTV and access control hardware/software
- Utilize experience with Lenel S2 systems (training available if needed)
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly to minimize downtime
- Collaborate with team members and clients to deliver integrated security solutions
- Stay current on the latest security technologies and best practices
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn, adapt, and grow technical ex
Job Requirements
Candidate Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience working with low-voltage/security systems
- Familiarity with computers, IP networks, and system programming
- Basic networking knowledge and Windows OS experience
- Manufacturer certifications and Lenel S2 certification (preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
