We are a trusted leader in fire alarm and life safety systems for nearly three decades, and we are hiring an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. Based in Freeport, NY, this role serves projects throughout NYC and surrounding counties, performing inspections, service calls, and repairs on a variety of systems.

Position Overview:

  • Title: Fire Alarm Technician
  • Location: Freeport, NY (Projects in 5 Boroughs, Long Island, Westchester)
  • Hourly Rate: $30–$40/hr. (DOE)
  • Status: Full-time, On-site
  • Overtime: Not typical

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance inspections on fire alarm systems from various manufacturers
  • Respond to and complete service calls promptly and efficiently
  • Troubleshoot and repair fire alarm devices and control panels
  • Ensure all work complies with FDNY codes and regulations
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and service calls
  • Collaborate with team members and clients to resolve system issues
  • Demonstrate proficiency with fire alarm system equipment and technologies
  • Hold and maintain a valid FDNY S-98 Certificate
  • Apply knowledge of NYC fire alarm systems and local codes (preferred)

Job Requirements

Candidate Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician or related role
  • FDNY S-98 Certificate (preferred)
  • Manufacturer certifications (e.g., Siemens, Notifier) – a plus
  • OSHA 10/30 and NICET Level 2 certifications – preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
