Position Summary:
The Safety Compliance Specialist is responsible for maintaining a variety of DOT safety programs to assure the highest possible degree of safety for independent contractors. This position will ensure driver’s maintain proper qualifications both day to day as well as throughout the year. This role is critical to the company’s ongoing success.

Responsibilities
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Audit each driver’s city and road logs/ELD’s and supporting documentation for completeness, accuracy and usability, as required by FMCSA regulations
- Communicate with and educate drivers on any ELD or log opportunities
- Obtain missing, inaccurate or unusable documents from appropriate Managers
- Renew annual MVRs and Clearinghouse Queries for all contract carriers to ensure ongoing driver eligibility
- Run Medical Card MVR verifications to verify drivers have self-certified with the applicable state
- Monitor SuperVision to ensure there are no negative changes to driver’s CDL
- Cultivate strong relationships with drivers and customers
- Performs other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Associates’ degree in Transportation, Industrial Safety or related field is preferred.
Relevant experience should include:
- 1-3 years of experience in the Transportation field
- Proficiency with computer software, Microsoft Office Suite and email.
- Excellent telephone etiquette, professional attitude
- Strong organizational, time management, problem solving and customer service skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to compile reports and write correspondence
- Ability to work in a team environment and be self-motivated to accomplish assigned tasks and goals in a fast-paced, changing environment
