We are currently seeking a qualified Fire Alarm Engineer/Inspector to join our team. This position is responsible for the design, review, and inspection of fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards. The ideal candidate will take a hands-on approach in conducting pre-inspections, developing detailed punch lists, attending FDNY inspections, and supporting seamless project approval.

- Occasional nights and weekends as needed

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and review fire alarm system layouts and specifications.
- Conduct pre-inspections and develop punch lists identifying deficiencies in various fire alarm systems prior to FDNY inspection.
- Represent the company during FDNY inspections and resolve any issues raised by the inspector.
- Coordinate with clients and project stakeholders to schedule inspections and discuss system requirements.
- Provide technical support and collaborate with internal team members as needed.
Job Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of the 2022 NYC Building Code.
- Hands-on experience in fire alarm system design and engineering (preferred).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (ACAD) for preparing system plans (preferred).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Physically capable of performing job-related tasks.
- Flexible schedule, including availability for overtime as needed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and general computer literacy.
- Collaborative mindset and team-oriented attitude.
