Sun River Health is seeking a full-time Safety and Security Manager to join our team. This position will be based out of the Bronx with travel as needed throughout NYC, Long Island, and Hudson Valley.

Responsibilities

The Safety and Security Manager is responsible for overseeing the safety and security of the organization facilities, staff, patients and visitors through the development and implementation of policy and procedures that promote a safe and secure environment. The Safety and Security Manager responsibilities also include coordinating and conducting regular safety and security trainings and drills for all staff. Identifying, investigating, and resolving safety/ security related incidents. Prepare assessments and reports to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Direct supervision over the Security Company Contract

· Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote a safe and secure environment for all patients, staff, and visitors

· Responsible for the development implementation and management of the department’s employee safety/security training programs

· Conduct regular safety/ security training and drills for all facilities

· Maintain Knowledge of current laws, regulations, practices, and technology in the safety and security field

· Establish relationships with other organization as it relates to safety and security such the local police

· Liaison to all departments on safety/security measures, procedures and needs

· Regularly reviews and supports the facilities safety ans security plans, direction and needs

· Prepare assessments and reports to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.

· Identify, investigate, and resolve safety and security related incidents

· Conduct facility site safety and security inspection and report findings

· Manage facilities security alarm system, cameras, panic bottom, access cards and monitoring services

· Aid in response to security, safety, and /or traffic related events

· Provide 24/7 immediate emergency response

· Ensure department/project goals, milestones are met and adhere to best practice standards and approved budget

· Oversee and tracks department operations, schedules, contract, and expenses

· Maintain accurate and current records for all necessary department information

· Performs information analysis and summarizes finding in applicable reports

· Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

DUCATION:

High School Diploma or GED required

Drivers license required

Bachelor’s degree preferred

EXPERIENCE:

2-4 years related experience working in healthcare or not for profit agency
