Responsibilities

We are looking for a Fire Sprinkler Test & Inspection Technician to join our team!

As a Fire Sprinkler Test & Inspection Technician, you will be responsible for performing the inspection and testing, of fire sprinkler, standpipe, and dry valve systems for compliance with applicable life-safety and fire-safety requirements as mandated by standards and codes, manufacturers’ requirements, federal, state, and local ordinances, customer requirements, and the expectations and requirements of the company.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

· Perform inspection and testing of all types of fire sprinkler systems

· Assist/coordinate with all forms of life safety system testing

· Document all testing findings in accordance with NFPA and local requirements

· Maintain a good positive relationship with the customer and pass on information to the appropriate personnel for follow-up, quotes, questions, or concerns

· Discuss deficiencies noted with a customer, explaining the problem and its resolution

· Assist service technicians with service calls

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

· At least 1 years’ experience in fire sprinkler systems

· High School diploma or equivalent

· Certificate of Fitness (COF), (New York Certification) for Sprinkler and Standpipe S12 & S13

· Knowledge and ability to understand and operate basic computer functions such as Windows, Word, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Apple IOS, and Android

· Valid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

WORKING CONDITIONS

· Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted

· Frequently lift and carry toolboxes, tools, equipment, parts, cabling, and/or wiring

· Must be able to push or pull up to 50 pounds
