Security Officer - Security – Evening

This is a full-time evening (3pm - 11pm) position at NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital located at 1980 Crompond Road, Cortlandt Manor, upper Westchester County, NY, 10567.

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Salary Range:

$25.00/Hourly

Responsibilities

n this crucial role, you'll ensure a safe and welcoming environment as you protect our patients, employees, volunteers, visitors and property.  Greet people with a smile, and offer a helping hand such as answers to general questions and directions to specific areas within our hospital. Monitor various security systems. Respond to emergencies. Investigate and report on incidents, and play a key part in initiatives that improve our security practices.

Job Requirements

Preferred Criteria

Bachelor's Degree, military experience, or 2 yrs of collegiate courses in criminal justice or related field.

Police and/or security background

Valid NYS driver license.

Required Criteria

High school graduate or equivalent.

Statutory Authority exemption or New York State Security Guard License
