SCHEDULE:

  • 8-hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections on construction sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with local codes, industry standards, and company safety policies.
  • Develop and implement safety plans, procedures, and training programs tailored to each client's unique needs and project requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams, ensuring that safety measures are effectively integrated into project planning and execution.
  • Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to foster a strong safety culture and promote a proactive approach to risk management.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry standards, regulations, and best practices, and actively participate in continuous professional development.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • BCSP certification as a Certified Health Safety Technician (CHST) or other relevant certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction safety, preferably in a consulting or advisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, NYC building codes, and other relevant safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically.
  • A strong commitment to safety, integrity, and professionalism.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various job sites within the New York City Metropolitan area (preferred).
