Fire Sprinkler System Designer- Fire Sprinkler Design Engineer

Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Review customer requirements and collaborate with all team members to gather required information to design Fire Protection Sprinkler Systems with accuracy and detail (including fire pumps, tanks, wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge systems)
- Plan and design systems using software such as AutoCAD, AutoSPRINK, SprinkCAD, or HydraCAD, HydraCALC, and HydraLIST
- Create fire sprinkler system designs, generate fabrication reports, and perform hydraulic calculations
- Adhere to National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA) codes and standards and local building code compliance requirements
- Conduct field reviews and site surveys for measurements, environment and to verify accuracy of completed design
- Interpret architect drawings/specifications, blueprints, and construction documents
- Develop sprinkler system designs for commercial & industrial projects
- Create accurate and code-compliant design drawings and specifications
- Conduct site visits to gather necessary information for design development
- Review and interpret architectural, structural, and mechanical plans
- Ensure designs meet all applicable codes, standards, and regulations
- Read & interpret plans and construction documents
Job Requirements
Our client is actively seeking to add an experienced Fire Sprinkler System Designer to the engineering team, with strong technical design experience and excellent communications skills.
Qualifications:
- Approximately five (5) or more years of experience in fire sprinkler system design for industrial and commercial applications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Plumbing/Fire Protection, Mechanical Engineering, or a related area.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, MS Word, and Excel
- Experience with relevant fire sprinkler industry design software such as AutoCAD, AutoSPRINK, SprinkCAD, HydraCAD, Revit, or other fire protection /sprinkler design software
- Excellent organizational and communication skills with
