Job Summary

Our Fire Sprinkler Inspector is a professional who is responsible for inspecting and maintaining fire sprinkler systems to ensure they are in proper working order and meet safety standards. The primary role of the inspector is to conduct regular inspections of the system, including the valves, pipes, and sprinkler heads, to ensure they are functioning properly and are free of any damage or defects. Additionally, they are responsible for performing any necessary repairs or maintenance on the system, and for documenting their findings to maintain accurate records. The importance of the Fire Sprinkler Inspector cannot be overstated, as their work is critical to ensuring the safety of buildings and the people who occupy them. Fire sprinkler systems are an essential component of any building's fire safety plan, and if they are not properly maintained, they may not function correctly in the event of a fire, putting lives and property at risk. As a result, the Fire Sprinkler Inspector plays a vital role in protecting the public and ensuring that buildings are as safe as possible. Overall, Fire Sprinkler Inspectors must have a thorough understanding of fire sprinkler systems and the codes and regulations that govern their installation and maintenance. They must be able to identify problems and make necessary repairs and must be able to clearly communicate their findings to others. With their knowledge and skills, Fire Sprinkler Inspectors help to ensure that buildings are safe and that the public is protected from the dangers of fire.

This position reports to the Vice President of Sprinkler.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $31.00 per hour

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

· Conduct comprehensive inspections of fire protection systems, including sprinkler systems, fire pumps, and standpipes

· Identify and report any deficiencies in the fire protection systems

· Provide recommendations for corrective actions

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date inspection records

· Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and codes

· Provide excellent customer service to clients and stakeholders

· Keep updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies

· Communicate effectively with team members and clients

Job Requirements

Qualifications

· Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Sprinkler Inspector

· Strong knowledge of fire protection systems and related codes and standards

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

· NFPA certification a plus

· NICET Level II certification is a plus.

· Backflow certification is a plus.
