As a Fire Protection Service Manager, you will oversee the operation and management of fire protection services. Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

1.     Operational Management:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the fire protection services department.
  • Ensure efficient response to client emergencies and manage fire protection systems and equipment.
  • Oversee routine inspections, maintenance, and testing of fire protection equipment and systems.
  • Coordinate with clients to schedule service appointments, inspections, and system installation.

2.     Communication:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding fire protection services.
  • Address client concerns, provide expert advice, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and present reports on service performance, incident response, and compliance.
  • Hire, lead, mentor, and manage a team of fire protection personnel, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Organize and deliver training programs to ensure staff are knowledgeable about fire safety practices and equipment.

3.     Contracting & Vendor Management:

  • Oversee and manage contracts with subcontractors and vendors involved in the various projects and service requests within your division.
  • Negotiate contract terms, monitor performance and progress, and ensure compliance with contractual agreements and service level expectations.
  • Review and approve subcontractor invoices and ensure timely payments, while maintaining budgetary controls.

4.     Compliance & Safety:

  • Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal fire safety regulations and standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain compliance and address any issues.
  • Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures to minimize risk and enhance safety.

5.     Budget & Resource Management:

  • Develop and manage the departmental budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Oversee procurement and maintenance of fire protection equipment and supplies.

6.     Strategic Planning & Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in fire protection.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance service delivery and operational efficiencies.

7.     Miscellaneous Tasks:

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in fire protection services, including supervisory experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in budgeting and financial management.
  • In-depth knowledge of fire safety regulations and standards.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and engineering software applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable and adaptable, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
