Responsibilities

Position OverviewThe Fire Service Tech II is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and servicing of fire detection and alarm systems. This role ensures that all fire safety equipment is functioning properly and adheres to safety regulations and standards. The technician will also assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to fire alarm systems and monitoring equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain fire detection and alarm systems in commercial and industrial settings.
  • Conduct regular inspections and testing of fire safety equipment to ensure compliance with safety codes and regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with fire alarm systems, including connectivity and networking problems.
  • Provide servicing and maintenance for fire safety equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams related to fire safety systems.
  • Coordinate with security personnel for integrated fire and security system solutions, including CCTV monitoring.
  • Document all service activities, inspections, and maintenance tasks accurately.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Technical certification in fire safety or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in the installation and maintenance of fire alarm systems and related equipment.
  • Strong understanding of fire safety regulations and standards.
  • Familiarity with computer networking, IP addressing, and connectivity issues.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and diagrams.
