Engineering Manager - Security
We're helping a fast-growing fintech platform hire an Engineering Manager to build and lead their Security Engineering function. You'll drive security strategy across infrastructure, applications, and operations-owning everything from threat detection to SOC2/PCI-DSS certification.
This is a high-visibility, hands-off-the-code leadership role for someone with deep cloud security experience and a strong grasp of compliance and vendor management.

Responsibilities
What You'll Do
- Build and lead a Security Engineering team across AppSec, InfraSec, and SecOps
- Drive roadmap for threat detection, vulnerability management, and IR
- Own SOC2, PCI-DSS, and ISO 27001 audits
- Manage vendors (SIEM, scanning, pen testing, etc.) and coordinate with auditors
- Implement secure development practices and security automation
- Report risk and posture to executive stakeholders
Job Requirements
What You Bring
- 6+ years in security or engineering, 3+ years in leadership
- Strong cloud security background (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Experience with compliance frameworks (SOC2, PCI-DSS)
- Familiarity with SAST/DAST, EDR, SIEM, and secure SDLC
Nice to Have
- Security certifications (CISSP, CISA, or equivalent)
- Experience in fintech or payment security environments
- Background in DevSecOps and security automation
- Familiarity with zero-trust architecture and secure API design
- Experience managing bug bounty programs and responsible disclosure
- Knowledge of .NET/C# application security
