Responsibilities



Key Responsibilities

  • Install and configure fire alarm systems according to specifications and regulations.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections of fire alarm systems to ensure proper operation.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot fire alarm issues, providing timely repairs or replacements as necessary.
  • Program fire alarm control panels and devices for optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their fire safety needs and provide excellent service.
  • Stay updated on fire protection laws, codes, and standards relevant to fire alarm systems.
  • Provide documentation and reports on inspections, maintenance, and repairs conducted.
  • Assist in training junior technicians and providing guidance on best practices.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in fire alarm systems preferred.
  • Proven experience as a fire alarm technician or similar role.
  • Knowledge of fire alarm systems, including brands such as EST, Notifier, Silent Knight, Siemens, Honeywell, and others.
  • Familiarity with NFPA standards and local fire codes.
  • NICET certification in fire alarm systems is a plus.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Good communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
