Fire Safety Consultant
Job Description
CodeGreen is looking for an experienced Fire Safety Consultant to join its team in a full-time capacity. This role will serve as a trusted advisor and consultant to our clients in their fire safety planning. We’re looking for someone comfortable in the field, directly interacting with clients and their subcontractors, and who is able to balance technical expertise with interpersonal skills to deliver a top-tier client experience. This is a full-time position located in New York, NY and will require local travel to client sites when you’re not in the CodeGreen office. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2-10 years of experience in fire protection code consulting and expediting with strong technical, project management, and business development skills. This role involves conducting fire code analysis, plan reviews, inspections, and report preparation while collaborating with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
Technical
- Prepare and submit FDNY filings for approval
- Perform plan reviews of fire alarm systems, fire department access plans, and other fire protection elements.
- Conduct fire alarm inspections, witness testing, and walkthroughs, as well as attend FDNY inspections.
- Prepare clear and actionable inspection reports.
Project Management
- Assist in project management, including client communication, scope delivery, and billing.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Business Development
- Prepare proposals
- Contribute to seminars, blog posts, and marketing collateral.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Skills
- At least 2-10 years of experience in fire protection consulting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high level of professionalism.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail while managing multiple projects.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read and understand construction plans.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Bluebeam Revu.
