Responsibilities
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Portsmouth, VA for a Roving Fire Watch. The Roving Fire Watch will be responsible for monitoring designated areas to detect and prevent fire hazards, ensuring the safety and protection of personnel and equipment and coordinating with fire safety personnel. The role also involves documenting findings, implementing fire prevention measures, and responding to fire alarms or emergencies promptly.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Possess a Confidential Clearance
- At least 1 year of experience
- Fire Prevention and Fire Safety skills
- Experience with Life Safety and Fire Protection systems
- Knowledge of Fire Suppression Systems
- Ability to work independently and follow safety protocols
- Strong attention to detail and excellent observational skills
- Relevant certifications in fire safety or related field are a plus
- Physical fitness to perform fire watch duties
- Prior experience in shipboard or industrial fire safety is beneficial
