Job Title: Airport Security Guard – Afternoon Shift Available
Location: Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport (ROC) — Rochester, NY

Pay Rate: $17.00/hour
Schedule: Rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays (24/7 operations)
Security Clearance: Airport SIDA Badge required

Johnson Security Bureau, Inc. is hiring full-time Airport Security Guards to provide high-level security services at the Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport. Work in partnership with the Monroe County Airport Authority to keep passengers, staff, and facilities safe while maintaining TSA compliance.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor airport roads to enforce TSA no-parking rules
- Conduct perimeter and ramp inspections
- Perform vehicle and delivery checks at secured gates
- Verify employee and contractor SIDA badges
- Respond to emergencies and provide first aid until EMTs arrive
- Maintain radio communication with Airport Communications (AIRCOM)
- Write incident reports and activity logs
- Assist travelers and manage crowds during peak hours
- Support law enforcement and escort personnel in restricted areas
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- New York Security Guard License
- High School Diploma Or GED
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Valid Driver’s License (for patrol duties)
- Strong communication and observation skills
- Able to stand, walk, and work in all weather conditions
- Must pass:
- FBI fingerprint & TSA background checks
- Pre-employment drug screening
- SIDA security training and testing
- Ability to obtain and maintain a ROC Airport security badge
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Familiarity with two-way radio protocols
