Position Overview: We are seeking a Fire Alarm technician & entry level programmer to deliver an exceptional level of service in commissioning & system checkouts, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting for our clients while upholding the company's vision, mission, and culture. The successful candidate will have a solid foundation in fire alarm systems, technical proficiency troubleshooting systems, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform Troubleshooting duties independent of supervisor guidance as required.
- Program small- to medium-sized projects for Siemens Compact Fire Alarm panels.
- Read plans and installation risers, identify components' functionality, and install components on siemens fire alarm panels.
- Troubleshoot field devices and circuits, ensuring correct wiring, checking for faults and correct voltage outputs.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used in app-based operations software.
- Generate system status reports after completing troubleshooting tasks.
- Maintain positive client relations through professional interactions.
Job Requirements
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent, supplemented by some trade school or 6 months to 2 years of trade school certification.
- 2 years of fire alarm work experience with S-98 certification or NICET Level II Certification
Skills and Knowledge:
- Proficiency in computers and software applications.
- Knowledge of fire alarm systems, their operation, and functionality.
- Ability to read and interpret fire alarm plans and riser drawings.
- Understanding of NYC, Nassau, and Suffolk building codes and the NFPA 72.
- Familiarity with fire alarm products, particularly Siemens Building Technologies products.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and understanding electronics principles.
- Strong report-writing, communication, and time management skills.
- Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
Certifications and Trainings:
- Ten-Hour OSHA Construction Safety Certification.
- FDNY Cert of Fitness s-98 Holder.
- Completion of NYC SST 40hr. within the first 3 months of hire.
- Siemens Cerberus certification within 6 months of hire.
