Wolverine Fire Protection Co. (WFPC) is a leading provider of fire protection systems, committed to delivering safety and peace of mind through innovative solutions. We are currently seeking a driven and experienced Fire Alarm System Sales Specialist to join our Michigan team. This full-time role focuses on generating new business, building strong client relationships, and promoting our comprehensive fire protection services.
As a Fire Alarm System Sales Specialist, you will play a critical role in growing our customer base across Michigan. Your primary duties will include identifying sales opportunities, managing client relationships, preparing proposals, and working closely with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery. This is a highly collaborative role requiring a proactive, professional, and customer-focused approach.
Work Location: Hybrid work from home and occasional travel to headquarters in Mt. Morris, MI
Travel: Regular travel throughout Michigan is required, with occasional travel out of state and overnight.

Responsibilities
Business Development & Client Relations:
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through networking, cold calling, events, and online platforms.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both prospective and existing clients.
- Understand client needs and effectively present WFPC’s capabilities and value proposition.
- Represent WFPC in a professional and client-focused manner.
Estimating & Proposal Development:
- Prepare and present tailored proposals for fire system installations, inspections, and monitoring services.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to develop accurate and customized solutions.
- Follow up on submitted proposals and negotiate contract terms.
- Ensure all documentation complies with WFPC standards.
Account Management:
- Build, manage, and maintain accurate communication records capturing all communication/ interactions with new/existing clients.
- Monitor and forecast project timelines and expectations.
Market & Industry Research:
- Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes within the fire protection industry.
Internal Coordination:
- Collaborate with internal operations teams to coordinate project timelines and service delivery.
- Participate in internal and external project meetings, including kickoff, design reviews, and submittal planning.
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (college degree or relevant experience preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in fire system sales (alarms, sprinklers, special hazards, extinguishers, etc.)
- Proven ability to estimate and prepare proposals/service agreements
- Strong understanding of fire/life safety systems and codes (NFPA, NEC, IFC, IBC, CMS, etc.)
- NICET Certification preferred (fire alarm, special hazards, and/or inspections and testing)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics; system design experience is a plus
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; CRM experience preferred
- Special Hazard a plus
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation required
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities
- Commitment to following all safety guidelines, including the use of PPE
