Wolverine Fire Protection Co. is currently looking for a project manager to oversee fire protection projects in Michigan. This position will be responsible for the successful execution of construction/installation projects. The Project Manager will ensure that his/her projects are completed in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner.
Responsibilities
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain effective relationships and communication with clients, internal staff, management and field staff
- Estimate new project opportunities and assist with bid and proposal preparation
- Manage project documentation, including work plans, status reports, etc.
- Read, comprehend and implement project drawings and specifications
- Prepare and track project schedules and submittals
- Select and manage subcontractors and material vendors
- Direct and coordinate project teams, including office and field staff
- Track project costs, prepare change orders, prepare project cost reports and related project documentation
- Review contracts for clarifications and exceptions
- Must be able to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and in an organized fashion
- Must adhere to all safe practices
Job Requirements
- Computer skills: Microsoft Office (outlook, word, excel)
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Working knowledge of Fire Protection Systems: Wet, Dry, Foam, Deluge, Pre-Action, Standpipe, Fire Hydrants, and Fire Pumps preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required
