We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Alarm Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of alarm systems, ensuring they operate effectively and comply with relevant codes and standards. This role requires a strong understanding of low voltage systems, the ability to read blueprints and schematics, and proficiency with hand tools. A background in fire alarm systems is highly desirable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair alarm systems including fire alarms and security alarms.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to detect issues within alarm systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure proper installation and functionality.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards during installations.
  • Provide technical support and training to clients on system operation.
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service calls.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Alarm Technician or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of low voltage systems and fire alarm technologies.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation effectively.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment related to alarm systems.
  • Familiarity with CAD software for system design is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • Relevant certifications in alarm installation or low voltage systems are advantageous.
