  • The pay range for this position is $81,100 - $139,200 and a 5% annual target bonus. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.

Responsibilities

As a Fire Alarm Systems Engineering Supervisor, you will:

  • Supervises the activities of the fire alarm systems engineering team to include overall performance and management of expectations and deliverables established by the Engineering Supervisor within the Operation Centers.
  • Plans, organizes, directs, and controls project engineering activities of the team to ensure schedules are maintained and projects proceed according to plans, job specifications and cost estimates.
  • Supervises engineering activities including the timely and effective PM (Project Management) to Engineering Turnover meetings, ensuring high quality detailed planning and the facilitation between project teams and operations centers.
  • Actively coordinates project engineering priorities between the Project Team and the Operations Centers to achieve on-time completion of engineering deliverables.
  • Plans and justifies staffing requirements, and other investments for timely execution of assigned work.
  • Monitor and track project engineering financials by monitoring consumption of actual costs and identifying ways to mitigate overruns to achieve project planned costs.
  • Maintains relationships between project engineering, project execution teams and operation centers so changes and discrepancies can be managed to minimize cost and delay throughout the execution phases of projects.
  • Manages or advises on hiring, training and development, allocation, and performance assessment of personnel within area of responsibility.

Job Requirements

You will make an impact with these qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Two years of college or technical school resulting in an associate's degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering or project management in direct support of commercial fire alarm systems
  • 2+ years of experience supervising direct reports
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 8+ years of experience in engineering or project management in direct support of commercial fire alarm systems
  • 5+ years of experience supervising direct reports
  • Candidates residing in the Greater Dallas/Ft Worth Metro Area are preferred
