As Director Health and Safety (HS), you will lead and strategically guide HS activities across Glass Recycling North America. Drive a proactive HS culture, coach and empower Operational Leaders and Teams, mentor the cluster HS Managers and drive strategic initiatives that ensure safe, healthy, and resilient workplaces, especially in complex industrial environment.

Responsibilities
Your Impact in This Role
As Director HS, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Drive the implementation of the Sibelco Global HS Program, aligning Global Standard with local realities
- Partner with Senior Leadership to embed HS strategy into business operations
- Influence, coach and mentor Operational Side Leadership and management to elevate safety ownership and accountability
- Lead risk management, incident investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
- Navigate ambiguity, translating complex regulations into practical solutions
- Drive performance through data, insights and a culture of continuous learning and safety ownership
Job Requirements
What You Bring To The Table
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering and occupational health & safety, industrial Hygiene, or a related discipline.
- 5–10 years of relevant professional experience in Health & Safety leadership roles, ideally within industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of HS legislation, risk management and operational excellence
- Proven ability to drive transformational change cross functions teams
- Proven track record of driving HS strategy, coaching teams, and managing complex or ambiguous situations.
- Sound communicator. Fluent in English. Knowledge of Spanish or French is a plus
