Our client is seeking a Site Safety Manager with proven experience in commercial construction to take ownership of safety planning and implementation on critical projects.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee all safety programs and policies on construction job sites to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct regular site audits and inspections to identify potential hazards, recommend solutions, and ensure that OSHA standards are met.
  • Review and manage RFPs, submittals, and project documentation to align construction plans with safety requirements.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and technical documents to anticipate safety risks and guide teams in adopting preventative measures.
  • Deliver safety training to on-site personnel and communicate updates in protocols.
  • Coordinate incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
  • Collaborate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure a cohesive safety strategy across all project phases.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in site safety management within the commercial construction industry.
  • Certified in OSHA Standards (30-hour or 10-hour certification preferred) and Site Safety protocols.
  • Comprehensive understanding of RFPs, submittals, and related construction procedures.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and documentation.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.

Preferred Skills and Certifications:

CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician) certification.

Experience managing large-scale projects or working with general contractors.

Familiarity with project management software and safety tracking tools.
