
Safety & Fleet Specialist
Job Description
Renuity is looking for a Safety & Fleet Specialist to join our team! The Safety & Fleet Specialist is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of workers’ compensation claims, maintaining accurate safety documentation, supporting OSHA compliance, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and performing various administrative tasks critical to the success of the safety program.The Safety & Fleet Specialist will assist with the company's fleet operations, ensuring efficient management of assets, compliance, and performance. This role involves handling fleet acquisitions, remarketing, vehicle branding, qualification files, maintenance, MVR, fuel management, telematics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) related to the fleet.
Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
- Assist the Safety & Fleet Director in managing daily safety and fleet operations
- Serve as the main point of contact for work-related injury claims; coordinate with employees, medical providers, and insurance adjusters to ensure timely resolution
- Track claim trends and costs, support return-to-work programs, and prepare OSHA-required logs and safety reports
- Maintain organized digital records for incidents, claims, and compliance documentation
- Oversee fleet asset assignments, maintenance, DOT compliance, telematics tracking, and fuel card usage
- Manage driver qualification files, FMCSA Clearinghouse compliance, and enforcement of fleet safety policies
- Support budget tracking, cost-saving initiatives, and vendor management for fleet devices and services
- Act as the subject matter expert and trainer for the Holman Insights fleet management system
- Coordinate vehicle transfers, end-of-life asset processes, and ensure clear communication across departments to streamline operations
Job Requirements
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in safety administration and workers’ compensation claim management
- Solid understanding of OSHA reporting requirements and workers’ compensation procedures
- Proven experience in fleet management, including maintaining driver qualification files
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and experience using the Clearinghouse Portal
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel, with strong data analysis capabilities
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- High attention to detail and ability to communicate findings clearly and effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities
- Working knowledge of automotive systems and fleet operations
