Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

You’ll own the full sales cycle for fire alarm installation opportunities—prospecting, estimating, presenting, and closing. Your days will include:

  • Building and managing a strong sales funnel in CRM, tracking leads, activities, and opportunities.
  • Developing relationships with building owners, property managers, electrical contractors, general contractors, and other key partners.
  • Conducting site visits, uncovering customer needs, and preparing professional, compelling proposals.
  • Following up like a pro—gathering feedback, overcoming objections, and driving deals to the finish line.
  • Hitting (and ideally exceeding) monthly and quarterly installation revenue and margin goals.
  • Reviewing plans/specs, performing take-offs, and coordinating with engineering and operations teams.
  • Preparing detailed estimates including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  • Participating in pre-bid meetings and ensuring a smooth project handoff once the deal is won.
  • Staying current with NFPA codes, industry standards, and emerging technologies.

Job Requirements

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in fire alarm installation sales (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of fire alarm systems, NFPA code, and estimating fundamentals.
  • Excellent communication skills, customer service mindset, and relationship-building chops.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects, stay organized, and maintain a disciplined follow-up routine.
  • Comfortable using CRM software daily (we actually use it).
  • A self-starter mentality with a competitive drive and a commitment to doing things the right way.
