Pay: Up to $39.50 per hour

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and engineer Fire Alarm systems.
- Ensure project contracts are reviewed, tasked, scheduled, and executed to meet the life safety needs of our clients.
- Oversee daily workflow of the Fire Alarm Service and Installation department and field staff.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate personnel to ensure installations are completed on time and within budget.
- Develop clear and concise goals for the department; provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Manage the requisition of materials and equipment needed to complete projects; follow up on lead times and deliveries.
- Coordinate with senior management, sales managers, field technicians, and other office staff to ensure proper handover of job information.
- Track and modify project schedules as needed, documenting events that impact the schedule, scope of work, and project efficiency.
- Ensure change orders/change estimates are completed in a timely manner.
- Prepare reports for management and/or clients.
- Maintain proactive, dynamic, and effective communication with clients at all times.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, permits, and safety industry standards.
- Recommend improvements in project management procedures and overall company business practices.
- Follow all RAEL work rules, policies, and safety guidelines.
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of technical experience in the commercial fire and life safety industry
- Preferred: 2+ years of leadership experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred; candidates with a High School Diploma or GED and directly related experience will also be considered
- Knowledge of National (NFPA) and NYC fire alarm codes and regulations
- Knowledge of Notifier equipment in fire alarm design and installation
- NICET Level II certification and 40-Hour SST; NICET Level III preferred
- Ability to read and comprehend MEPS, FA, and FP plans
- Proficient with AutoCAD or other specialized fire alarm design software
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Excellent verbal, written communication, organizational, and time management skills.
