This position is responsible for overseeing the installation security, video, access and fire systems. Ensure that all systems and components are maintained according to industry standards, applicable code, and the operational requirements of the customer. Ensure the installation technicians are effectively and efficiently performing their duties and tasks.

Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage the team of installation service technicians.
- Ensure technicians arrive at job sites on-time and in accordance with their assigned installation assignment.
- Closely monitor technician and project manager performance on installation jobs.
- Carefully review specific department reports to ensure proper and efficient methods are being followed.
- Conduct site surveys as needed, per company process, coaching/teaching the techs to follow standard procedures; checking quality of workmanship, work being done to your satisfaction, and assessing the job status for work remaining in comparison to amount of labor units remaining. This applies to your team and any subcontractor hired by this company to work your assigned job(s).
- Communicate with our customers (GC or EC) or their representative regularly to keep them current on our job progress or to receive input from them on any issues or questions they may have and address their issues promptly.
- Teach systems and components to technicians in order to advance apprentice technicians to Lead Technician and to maintain knowledge level for every Lead Technician. Rotate apprentice technicians within your team and with other teams in order to round out their training and experience.
- Report on activities completed, deferred, or requiring further action or material to management.
- Create and manage PO’s for materials, permitting, and labor.
- Review for accuracy, compatibility and logistics. Assign new jobs to the appropriate project manager.
- Ensure parts are ordered in time for job scheduling, job tasks are current, and job costing is accurate and complete for each job to prepare for closing
- Review completed jobs with regard to final costs (labor and materials) and completion notes.
- Submit complete and accurate paperwork in a timely manner. Obtain proper signatures. Accurately record travel and service times, timesheets, identify warranties, changes and code issues and provide accurate descriptions.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.

Job Requirements
Education/Qualification:
- A high school education or equivalent preferred
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the security industry required.
- Some technical school training is a plus.
- Ability to act in a lead capacity.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools.
- Ability to always operate fleet vehicle in a safe manner.
- Experience in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
Physical Requirements:
- Maybe required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Must be able to walk and stand.
- Comfortable reaching, climbing (ladder/stairs) and bending.
- Must be able to verbally communicate via telephone.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
