We're seeking a Security Alarm Estimator to support our Arizona operations with a focus on medium-complexity projects across commercial and industrial sectors. This role requires a strong background in electronic security and fire alarm systems, as well as experience preparing project estimates, conducting site walks, and coordinating design efforts. You'll work closely with sales, engineering, vendors, and AHJs to deliver accurate and competitive proposals.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Design and document installed solutions based on project specifications and site conditions
  • Conduct in-depth plan reviews and site visits to determine scope and project requirements
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates using estimation software
  • Assist with RFIs, RFPs, and other customer information requests
  • Collaborate with sales teams to communicate scope, value, and approach
  • Coordinate the preparation of shop drawings, wiring diagrams, and device layouts
  • Work with vendors to register scopes and secure the best pricing and product availability
  • Identify products with long lead times and communicate proactively with project managers
  • Contribute to the creation of submittal packages, including schematics and product literature
  • Maintain communication with internal teams, vendors, and AHJs throughout the bid process

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Solid background in electronic security and fire alarm systems
  • Experience reading and interpreting construction documents and system drawings
  • Familiarity with building automation, fire alarm, and access control systems
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines
  • Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to work under pressure
