CCTV Field Technician

Reliant Safety, a subsidiary of Omni New York, LLC and Omni America, LLC, was founded in 2009 to provide comprehensive property security and management solutions for the affordable housing market nationwide. Reliant Safety currently maintains and monitors over 17,000 cameras across ten states, which support approximately 20,000 residential units.Reliant Safety is currently seeking a Security Equipment Installer to join our Team.

Responsibilities

  • Up to 50% travel, currently all domestic along the east coast
  • Installation of cameras, cable, and conduit
  • Travel for offsite hardware, software, network, and video support
  • Analyze, diagnose, and repair complex integrated security systems, including troubleshooting issues that may be related to network architecture, protocols or other network related factors
  • Complete major systems integrations, including system commissioning
  • Communicate with subcontractors and coordinate work with subcontractors and/or other employees as required to ensure efficient and timely completion of work
  • Maintain all company property and supplies, including but not limited to tools, equipment, parts and documentation
  • Must be able to accommodate emergency work off hours. Also take part in an on-call rotation with other support technicians
  • Document all queries, problems, and requests in the support

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Must be comfortable working on tall ladders and in attics/crawl spaces
  • Minimum 1 year of CCTV or access control experience
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Information Systems preferred, but not required
  • Proficiency in a broad range of CCTV and access control products and security architecture
  • Knowledge of IP platform camera systems required (Hikvision a plus)
  • Experience in access control platforms preferred (Honeywell/S2 a plus)
  • Proficiency in network architecture and protocols
  • Must be able to configure IP addresses and setup subnets
  • Experience in a variety of Windows desktop/server operating systems (XP, 7, 2008, 2012)
  • OSHA 30 certification a plus

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to quickly learn to use new software tools, with respect to (NVMS) Network Video Management Systems
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills
  • Team player - ability to work well in a close employee/support environment
  • Must be comfortable working in a dynamic environment with constant changes
  • Must be comfortable with travel, sometimes on short notice, and occasional after-hours support requirements
