Responsibilities
A major public initiative in Brooklyn, NY is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong background in public safety and emergency communication systems. This role involves overseeing mission-critical projects supporting 911 infrastructure and related technologies. Candidates with prior experience managing high-impact government or public sector technology projects—particularly those involving New York-based agencies—are strongly encouraged to apply.
Job Requirements
- 8+ years of project management experience, with a focus on public safety or emergency communication systems
- Demonstrated success managing 911 systems, emergency communications infrastructure, or public safety IT platforms
- Prior experience working with or within New York-based public sector agencies is highly preferred
- Proficient in project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid approaches
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch), NG911, or radio network technologies
- Experience with government contracting, procurement, and vendor oversight
- Familiarity with public safety frameworks and regulatory requirements in New York State
