Our client, a leading organization in fire safety and building management, is seeking a FIRE LIFE SAFETY ENGINEER to join their team. As a FIRE LIFE SAFETY ENGINEER, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting the Facilities Management team. Responsibilities
What's the Job?
- Respond to work orders related to troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on commercial fire suppression and alarm systems.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair fire alarm equipment including smoke detectors, heat detectors, pull stations, and supervisory devices.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal fire and life safety codes and standards.
- Operate and troubleshoot fire suppression systems such as wet, dry, and pre-action sprinkler systems, as well as kitchen hood fire suppression systems.
- Assist in maintaining fire panels, amplifiers, NAC panels, and backup battery banks, ensuring all systems are operational and compliant.
Job Requirements
What's Needed?
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience with maintenance and repair of commercial Fire / Life Safety Systems.
- High School diploma or GED; basic electrical safety or Qualified Electrical Worker training preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret repair manuals, specifications, drawings, and schematic diagrams.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and climb ladders, stairs, and roofs as required.
- Strong computer skills for documentation, communication, and troubleshooting purposes.
