M&J is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Inspector for a NYCDEP project in Brooklyn.

Responsibilities

The EHSO is responsible for day-to-day oversight of the EHS activities on the project. The EHSO shall review/monitor contractor activities for compliance with DEP’s EHS Policies and Procedures, BEDC EHS Standards and all Federal, State, City and local regulations and requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of seven years of experience as a EH&S inspector in the Water Supply or Wastewater Sector
  • Preferred, a bachelor’s degree in safety, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety and Health, Natural Sciences, Engineering or other related fields.
  • Successful completion of the 30-hour OSHA Construction Safety and Health (29 CFR 1926) Course.
  • Preferred, Successful completion of the 62 hour OSHA SST (Site Safety Training) Supervisor)
  • Preferred, Possess certification as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST).
