Position Overview:The Fire & Life Safety Panel Watch Coordinator role involves monitoring security camera feeds and fire and gas life safety systems (GLSS & FLSS), identifying suspicious behavior, documenting incidents, and coordinating with on-site security personnel or law enforcement. Key responsibilities include maintaining detailed logs, performing regular system checks, responding to emergencies, and ensuring the proper functioning of surveillance equipment to maintain a secure environment.
Responsibilities
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Life Safety Systems Monitoring: Monitor fire and gas life safety systems (GLSS & FLSS) during construction and testing activities to prevent accidental evacuations.
- Reporting: Compile deficiency reports and corrective actions. Report FLSS events using established protocols.
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct visual inspections of fire and gas life safety systems per building preventive maintenance schedule.
- System Maintenance: Assist with the setup, adjustment, or basic troubleshooting of FLSS equipment.
- Evidence & Investigations: Review Pre-Task-Plans and complete job walks with trade partners in preparation for site activities.
- Inspections: Assist project managers and support activities associated with hazmat and fire inspections. Monitor Building Management System, call out alarms, and verify gas life safety system description changes.
- Factory shutdowns: Support project managers and trade partners during factory shutdowns to ensure constructions project are completed safely and on schedule.
- Adaptability: Respond to phone calls and demands for site support as required outside business hours weekends (Weekends, public holidays, evenings, etc.
