
Construction Safety and Risk Manager
Job Description
Highland Roofing Company is looking for an experienced Safety & Risk Manager to lead and strengthen our safety program across our offices in Charlotte, Raleigh/Garner, and Wilmington, NC. The position can be based at any of our three offices.
You'll play a key role in keeping our teams safe, supporting our job sites, and building a strong safety culture company-wide.

Responsibilities
What You'll Focus On:
- Developing and improving safety programs and policies
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations (especially OSHA)
- Conducting site audits and safety inspections
- Leading risk assessments and accident investigations
- Delivering safety training and education
- Promoting a strong safety culture across all teams
- Managing safety documentation and reporting
- Overseeing safety gear and equipment needs
- Supporting emergency preparedness
- Driving continuous improvement in all safety practices
Job Requirements
What We're Looking For:
We're seeking someone with a strong background in construction safety and a passion for building safe, efficient job sites. Ideally, you'll have:
- 5+ years of safety management experience in commercial construction
- Deep knowledge of OSHA regulations and best practices
- A track record of scaling safety operations across multiple sites or regions
- Strong skills in hazard identification, training delivery, and emergency planning
- A bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, construction management, engineering, or a related field
- Certifications like CSP, OSHA 30/500, or similar (preferred but not required)
