Responsibilities

Senior Electrical Design Engineer.Your new role

  • Lead the electrical design for a variety of projects, including power distribution, lighting, emergency backup systems, fire alarm
  • Perform detailed electrical calculations (e.g., load analysis, short-circuit analysis, protection coordination) to ensure system efficiency and compliance with codes.
  • Prepare and review electrical design drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure electrical designs meet project requirements, industry standards, and applicable codes
  • Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure electrical systems integrate seamlessly into the overall project design.
  • Oversee the selection of electrical equipment, such as transformers, circuit breakers, panels, and switchgear, ensuring compatibility with system requirements.
  • Conduct site visits for inspections and ensure compliance with design specifications during construction and commissioning phases.
  • Support the preparation of project budgets and schedules, ensuring electrical systems are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry best practices, and regulatory changes to enhance design quality and efficiency.

Job Requirements

What you'll need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical system design, with a focus on commercial, institutional, and/or industrial projects.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
  • Extensive experience with electrical codes and standards
  • Proven ability to manage and lead electrical design efforts on large-scale projects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
