Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the progress of technicians at job sites, ensuring work is completed on time and in accordance with quality standards
  • Ensure technicians complete necessary reports accurately, covering work performed, time, and client details
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions
  • Ensure projects are scheduled efficiently to meet client expectations and timelines
  • Provide leadership to achieve installation teams’ goals professionally and timely
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor performance, including appearance and compliance with policies
  • Estimate small projects and support larger ones in coordination with project teams
  • Review project progress and address scheduling issues with senior management
  • Dispatch and follow up on service technicians for after-hours repair calls
  • Provide training on technical skills, communication, safety protocols, and client service expectations
  • Mentor and coach technicians to ensure ongoing development and compliance with industry standards
  • Conduct performance reviews to support individual and team growth
  • Review and resolve client billing issues with the accounting team
  • Ensure timecards and expense reports are reviewed and submitted on time

Job Requirements

Skills

  • Expertise in fire alarm system operations and related technologies
  • Strong understanding of NYC building codes and NFPA fire alarm standards
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, electronics, and interpreting blueprints and schematics
  • Ability to manage complex projects and demonstrate advanced installation techniques
  • Commitment to maintaining safety standards in the field

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED (Some trade school or certification is a plus)
  • 6 months to 2 years of relevant industry experience, or 10+ years of hands-on experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory role
