Position: Fire Extinguisher Technician

Location: 4970 SW Griffith Dr Beaverton OR, 97005

Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8:00am – 5:00pm

Pay: $26-$32/hr DOE

Responsibilities

Main Areas of Responsibility and Job Duties:

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined and confident performing inspections, maintenance, and basic repairs on fire safety equipment. They can accurately identify issues, complete service documentation, and ensure compliance with applicable safety standards. This role requires someone who can work efficiently in the field while maintaining precision and quality.

  • Knowledge of fire extinguisher types (ABC, CO₂, Class K, etc.) and applications
  • Familiarity with NFPA standards, especially NFPA 10
  • Understanding of OSHA fire safety regulations
  • Ability to read and interpret inspection tags, service records, and compliance requirements
  • Basic mechanical aptitude (disassembly, reassembly, pressurization systems)
  • Experience using hand tools and testing equipment
  • Ability to lift and transport equipment (typically 25–50 lbs)
  • Basic computer or mobile app proficiency for reporting and documentation
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a company vehicle
  • (Preferred) Certification in fire extinguisher inspection/maintenance or willingness to obtain

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Ability to pass a drug screen
  • Ability to pass a MVR/Driving Record check and possess a valid driver’s license
