Responsibilities
Perform plan reviews of fire alarm, automatic fire sprinkler,and special fire protection systems for compliance withcodes and standards• Witness testing and perform inspections for fire alarm,automatic fire sprinkler, and special fire protection systems• Maintain professional, timely communication with clientsand customers• Participate independently in client contact (attend meetings,accomplish both oral and written communications)• Ability to provide high level of customer service, managemultiple priorities, demonstrate attention to detail, and meetdeadlines• Attain various certifications and participate in continuingeducation
Job Requirements
Education:• High school diploma or equivalent• Classes in related degree program preferred• College degree preferredExperience Preferred:• The ideal candidate will have 2 or moreyears of experience performing fireprotection plan review and inspections,installation or design of fire alarm,automatic fire sprinkler, or special fireprotection systems and knowledge of NFPAand ICC codes. ICC or NFPA Fire Inspectorand/or Plans Examiner certification• NICET certification in fire protection(Sprinkler / Fire Alarm / Special Systems)• Knowledge of MS Office with Word,Excel, and OutlookPhysical Ability:• Ability to climb ladders and be raised in liftsto inspect fire protection system equipmentlocated near ceilings.• Ability to crawl on hands and knees toaccess low headroom spaces.• Ability to walk for long periods of time andto climb multiple flights of stairs.
