Job Description

Responsibilities
The technician/low voltage installer will perform installation of Fire Alarm Life Safety Systems,up to and including pulling wire, device termination, mounting back boxes, etc. Perform on-sitetroubleshooting, programming, and Contractor supervision of Fire Alarm Systems Installation.Ideal candidates will have Fire Alarm Experience, Experience Programming AutoCall, Siemensand/or Honeywell and be State or NICET II Certified
Job Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
• Able to lift/move equipment and tools weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders;scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems,programs, schematics and operation/product manuals.
• Capable to use all power tools necessary to complete work.• Experience with lifts and lift safety.
• Ability to program and service various fire alarm systems. Experience with AutoCall,Siemens and/or Honeywell is preferred.
• Working knowledge of DOS, test equipment to include: multimeter, digital analyzers,frequency meters, decibel meters and communicating devices is required.• Enroll in the WBFAA Apprenticeship Program or hold State Certification.
• Be Self Motivated, hardworking and oriented to detail. Be a TEAM PLAYER contributing tothe continued success, growth, and excellent reputation of FDU.
• Must have understanding of requirements in accordance with NFPA 72, Underwriter'sLaboratories and local Authorities Having Jurisdiction.
• Must have a clean criminal record, valid driver’s license, favorable DMV report, pass preemployment drug screening
