Fire Extinguisher Specialist
Position Overview
We're a service and inspection based contractor with a national presence and year-over-year growth over the past 5 years. We're a small but succesful firm that works with clients nationwide and currently, we're looking for a self-sufficient technician or sales rep who is comfortable working in their local market and traveling to hot markets like Oregon, California and through Florida.Depending on experience, this person will have the opportunity to also kick start our suppression division.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Travel 2-4 days every couple of weeks
- Inspect and test fire extinguishers to ensure they meet safety standards
- Perform maintenance and repairs on fire extinguishers and related equipment
- Conduct thorough inspections and document findings
- Provide clients with recommendations for fire safety improvements
- Maintain accurate records of service and inspection activities
- Ensure compliance with NFPA and other regulatory standards
- Respond to service calls and perform on-site work as required
- Educate clients on proper usage and maintenance of fire extinguishers
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Active NAFED Certification
- Experience in fire extinguisher servicing and repair
- Fire extinguisher sales experience is a PLUS
- Knowledge of NFPA regulations and fire safety standards
- NICET certification is a plus
- Willingness to travel for service calls
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
