Job Summary

Position provides oversight, direction and coordination for all Fire Protection operations and maintenance (O&M) activities at assigned jobsite to ensure adherence to contractual objectives. Position also supervises and coordinates activities of electronic control systems including, but not limited to automatic doors, vehicle gates, master clock systems and VTE maintenance.

Responsibilities

Primary Job Functions

  • Perform O & M Management administration functions, handling a variety of actions and problems relating to assigned contract(s).
  • Oversight and Management of NICET Fire Alarm and Fire Sprinkler Technicians.
  • Monitor management plans designed to accomplish contractual objectives and provide direction and support to subcontractors, support staff, trades and crafts.
  • Responsible for scheduling work to be performed.
  • Manages and commits contract resources, monitors budgets on assigned contracts.
  • Responsible for the safety of all personnel on job, including sub-personnel, compliance with environment standards and quality of work performed.
  • Conducts training of staff, as well as safety meetings and briefings.
  • Maintain relationship with labor union contacts and determine how to handle grievances.
  • Research and address customer and employee complaints.
  • Other duties as assigned.

CertificationNICET Level 3 in Fire Alarm Systems or NICET Level 3 in Special Hazards SystemsKnowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Knowledgeable of NFPA and UFC Fire Protection standards.
  • Knowledge of various Fire Alarm Manufacturers: including but not limited to Edwards, Simplex, Siemens, Gamewell, Notifier.
  • Knowledge of various Fire Protection systems: Conventional & Addressable Alarm systems, Mass Notification / Voice Evac, Monaco transceivers and D21 head end, Wet & Dry Sprinkler systems, Deluge, Pre-action, and Foam systems, CO2 and kitchen suppression systems.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and PPE procedures.
  • Ability to conduct accident investigations and safety inspections.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites and basic computer skills.
  • Advanced written and oral communication skills in English.
