Responsibilities
The EHS Manager provides leadership to the facility and fosters a culture of safety and excellence. They manage the development, management, and implementation of the facility EHS programs in compliance with regulatory agencies.
- Responsible for evaluating, updating, implementing and enforcing the site EHS programs and policies as well as adherence to state and federal health/safety regulations.
- Directs safety/environmental compliance with Regulatory agencies.
- Drives ongoing compliance efforts, improvement plans, and continuous improvement strategies.
- Plays a key role in leading safety performance across the plant, develop, and drive injury reduction initiatives.
- Performs safety surveys and inspections.
- Manages and develops Health and Safety team.
Job Requirements
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Excellent communication skills
- Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college in Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Hygiene / Environmental Safety, or related field.
- 5 years of health and safety experience in fast paced manufacturing preferably Food Manufacturing.
- OSHA 30
- HSE certification preferred (CSP, CSHM, MESH, etc.)
- Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred)
