We are seeking an experienced sales professional to generate and close new sales opportunities for Notifier fire alarm systems. This role requires at least four to five years in sales, ideally within the fire alarm industry. A NICET 2 certification is advantageous and can be obtained after joining.

Work Environment

The role is fully onsite with typical working hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, offering some flexibility in hours. You will be part of a small, close-knit team that operates without micromanagement. While there is a sales quota to hit for the supplier, the team is not heavily metrics-driven. Minimal travel is required, only occasionally visiting facilities to assess jobs. The company, despite having multiple branches up and down the East Coast and a corporate office in Hanover, Maryland, maintains a family-oriented atmosphere, especially in Richmond.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $95000.00/hr.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Generate and close new sales opportunities for Notifier fire alarm systems.
  • Proactively build and maintain relationships with general contractors, electrical contractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Network within the construction and fire protection industry to identify new markets and growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proposals and estimates meet customer needs.
  • Manage time effectively to balance prospecting, client meetings, and project follow-ups.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Notifier systems.

Job Requirements

Essential Skills

  • 4+ years of experience, with 5 or more years in sales.
  • Sales experience in fire alarm, low voltage, or construction-related industries preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills.
  • Self-starter with excellent time management and organizational skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • NICET 2 certification is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Notifier systems is a plus.
