About the position
Our summer internship program allows you to learn more about the electrical construction industry and our business before beginning your career after graduation. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in analyzing project requirements and supporting fire & life safety installation and service initiatives. You’ll work closely with the Fire & Life Safety team and project managers, gaining valuable insights into the construction industry.
Pay Range
- $22.00 or $24.00 per hour, based on college/grade level.

Responsibilities
Day in the life
- Assist with quantity takeoffs and material cost calculations for various construction projects.
- Review project plans, specifications, and documentation to prepare cost estimates.
- Collaborate with project teams to gather data and validate assumptions.
- Research vendor pricing and maintain up-to-date cost databases.
- Participate in bid preparations and pre-construction planning meetings
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Must currently be enrolled in a degree or certificate program in Construction Management, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Outstanding interpersonal and team leadership skills.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
