As a Fire Alarm Designer, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and codes to prepare shop drawings and plans using AutoCAD that meet applicable codes and manufacturer requirements. You will also prepare submittals using Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $43.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in North Chesterfield,VA.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and codes.
- Prepare shop drawings/plans using AutoCAD.
- Ensure all designs meet applicable codes and manufacturer requirements.
- Prepare submittals using Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Produce designs and submittals to be reviewed by local officials.
Job Requirements
Essential Skills
- NICET Certification in Fire Alarm Systems (Level II minimum preferred).
- Experience with Notifier, Siemens, Firelite, or similar fire alarm systems.
- AutoCAD experience preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with VESDA and clean agent systems is preferred but not required.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Associate degree in Electronics Technology or Electrical Engineering Technology is preferred. Equivalent work experience and other majors may be considered.
- Possess professional business communication skills, both written and oral.
- Self-learner, self-motivated, dedicated, organized, and a team player.
- Ability to develop and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
