Compensation
Expected Salary: $100,000 - $110,000

Location Requirements
The position will be hybrid with 3 days a week onsite at the Pentagon, Washington, DC.
Responsibilities
What You’ll Do:
- Connect DAF policy, HQ USSF priorities, and installation-level execution to ensure operational readiness.
- Drive POM requirements.
- Represent USSF on the DAF Fire Tier IV panel.
- Advocate for space-launch-unique mission needs.
- Defend firefighter sufficiency levels required by the NDAA.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years’ experience of Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES) expertise. Former Air Force Fire Chief or senior F&ES leader with headquarters level experience.
- DAF Policy & Compliance Knowledge — Understanding of DAF fire protection standards, NDAA mandates, and enterprise governance
- Program Objective Memorandum (POM) Experience — Ability to develop, justify, and defend resourcing requirements.
- Enterprise Coordination Skills — Skilled at working with DAF, AFCEC, installations, and mission partners.
- Operational Readiness Assessment — Ability to evaluate emergency response capability and mission risk.
- Secret clearance required.
- Must be proficient in English, both written and verbal, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Successful results of preemployment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screen.
- Comply with company drug and alcohol policy.
- Be authorized to work in the US or will be authorized by the successful candidate’s start date.

This position supports U.S. Space Force (USSF) providing Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES) program management. This entails providing enterprise-level oversight, compliance, and strategic support for emergency response capabilities across all Space Force installations. Ideal candidate is former Air Force Fire Chief with Headquarters staff experience and deep expertise in F&ES operations.
