Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the Fire Alarm Service Department, ensuring timely response to customer requests and service calls.
- Supervise, schedule, and support service technicians and administrative staff to meet performance goals and KPIs.
- Manage service contracts, preventive maintenance schedules, testing, inspections, and repair work.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with NFPA, NICET, and local fire codes.
- Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting, and escalation support for complex system issues.
- Collaborate with sales and project teams to identify service opportunities and drive revenue growth.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication and problem resolution.
- Manage department budgets, labor tracking, and material procurement to ensure profitability.
- Conduct safety meetings, performance reviews, and ongoing training for field personnel.
- Maintain accurate service documentation, reports, and compliance records.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Fire Alarm Service, including at least 2 years in a leadership or management capacity.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 72, fire alarm codes, and industry standards.
- NICET Level II or higher in Fire Alarm Systems (preferred).
- Experience with major fire alarm manufacturers (e.g., Notifier, EST, Siemens, Gamewell-FCI, Silent Knight, etc.).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with service management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
